The exact scope of work will be agreed in writing before work begins.
Any quotation provided is based on the information available at the time, including photos, measurements, site visits, client instructions and visible site conditions.
A quotation is valid only for the period stated on the quotation. If no period is stated, the quotation is valid for 14 days.
Additional charges may apply if:
the client requests extra work
hidden damage or defects are discovered
site conditions differ from what was originally shown or described
materials, access, parking or disposal requirements change
delays are caused by the client or third parties
No additional work will be carried out without client approval, unless urgent work is required for safety or to prevent damage.
Work will only be booked once the client confirms acceptance of the quote in writing, by email, message or signed agreement.
By accepting a quotation, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
A deposit may be required before work begins. The deposit secures the booking, labour time, materials and project preparation.
Payment terms will be confirmed in writing before the start of the project.
Unless otherwise agreed:
deposits are payable before work begins
stage payments may be required for larger projects
final payment is due upon completion of the agreed work
invoices must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice
Late payment may result in suspension of work until payment is received.
Materials may be supplied by Elite London Refurbishments, the client or third-party suppliers.
Where materials are supplied by the client, we are not responsible for:
incorrect materials
damaged materials
missing parts
delays caused by late delivery
product defects
unsuitable products
Where we supply materials, ownership of those materials remains with Elitejobs Ltd until full payment has been received.
The client must ensure that:
access to the property is available at agreed times
the working area is reasonably clear before work begins
electricity, water and parking are available where required
permissions, freeholder approvals or building approvals are obtained where necessary
valuable or fragile items are removed from the work area
pets and children are kept away from work areas for safety
Delays caused by lack of access or preparation may result in additional charges.
The client must provide safe and reasonable access to the property.
If parking permits, congestion charges, loading restrictions or access fees apply, these may be added to the final invoice unless agreed otherwise.
We reserve the right to refuse or pause work if the site is unsafe.
For wooden flooring installation, sanding and restoration, the client accepts that wood is a natural material and may vary in colour, grain, texture and finish.
Floor sanding and restoration results depend on:
the age and condition of the floor
previous damage
previous coatings or adhesives
moisture levels
depth of wear
type of wood
We will always aim to achieve the best possible finish, but we cannot guarantee that all marks, stains, gaps or historic damage can be fully removed.
For engineered flooring, sanding may be limited depending on the thickness of the real wood wear layer.
Finishes such as lacquer, oil, stain or varnish may appear different depending on lighting, wood type and existing floor condition.
Samples may be provided where possible, but final appearance may vary once applied across the whole floor.
The client must follow aftercare instructions. Damage caused by water, heavy furniture, dragging items, incorrect cleaning products or lack of maintenance is not covered.
For kitchen, bathroom and refurbishment projects, the agreed scope of work will be confirmed before work begins.
Hidden defects may only become visible after strip-out, including:
damp
rotten timber
damaged pipework
unsafe electrical work
uneven walls or floors
structural issues
previous poor workmanship
Any additional work required will be discussed and quoted separately.
Plumbing and electrical work will be carried out to a professional standard.
Where legally required, specialist or certified trades may be used.
We are not responsible for pre-existing plumbing, electrical or structural issues unless they are included in the agreed scope of work.
Where rubbish removal or site clearance is included, we will remove agreed waste from the site and arrange disposal responsibly.
Pricing depends on:
volume of waste
type of waste
weight
access
loading time
disposal requirements
Hazardous materials, asbestos, chemicals or specialist waste are not included unless agreed in writing.
Waste must be handled in line with applicable UK waste duty of care requirements.
Any change requested by the client after work has started may affect:
price
completion date
materials
labour requirements
Changes must be agreed in writing before being carried out.
We aim to complete all work within the agreed timeframe. However, delays may occur due to:
material delays
supplier delays
bad weather
hidden defects
client changes
access problems
illness or emergencies
third-party contractors
We are not responsible for losses caused by reasonable or unavoidable delays.
On completion, the client will be given an opportunity to inspect the work.
Any concerns must be raised as soon as possible, preferably in writing.
Minor snagging items will be addressed within a reasonable time.
Final payment cannot be withheld for minor snagging where the main work has been substantially completed.
We stand behind the quality of our workmanship.
Any guarantee applies only to labour carried out by us and does not cover:
misuse
accidental damage
water damage
movement in the property
natural movement of wood
poor ventilation
client-supplied defective materials
work altered by others
normal wear and tear
Manufacturer warranties apply separately to products and materials.
If the client is a consumer and the contract is agreed online, by phone, email or away from our business premises, the client may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days, unless work has already started with the client’s agreement.
If the client asks us to begin work during the 14-day cancellation period, the client may be required to pay for work already completed and materials ordered before cancellation. UK guidance confirms that cancellation rights can apply to building and decorating work depending on where and how the agreement was made.
If the client cancels after accepting a quote, charges may apply for:
materials already purchased
labour time booked
administration and preparation
site visits
work already completed
Any cancellation charge will be fair and reasonable based on actual costs incurred.
We may cancel or suspend work if:
payment is not made
the site is unsafe
access is not provided
the client behaves abusively
required permissions are not available
unexpected issues make the work unsuitable or unsafe
We may take photos of our work for records, quality control and marketing.
No personal details or private information will be shared without permission.
If the client does not want project photos used for marketing, they must inform us in writing.
We will take reasonable care when carrying out work.
We are not liable for:
pre-existing defects
hidden structural issues
damage caused by faulty existing installations
delays outside our control
loss of business or indirect losses
damage caused by client-supplied materials
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
If the client is unhappy with any part of the service, they should contact us as soon as possible.
We will aim to resolve complaints fairly and professionally.
Clients should allow us reasonable access and opportunity to inspect and correct any issue.
We may collect client contact details, address, project information and communication records in order to provide quotes, manage projects and deliver services.
Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
